John Sedgwick [James Sedgwick / Sarah Unknown]
John moved from Yorkshire in about 1845. In the 1851 census he gives his age as 35 but subsequent returns indicate that this is wrong. In 1871 there are 2 grandchildren living with John, now a widower, and his children Agnes, Ann and Joseph - Ada and Edward Sedgwick aged 13 and 7. Whose children are these? Ada is married to a Thomas Smith by 1881 with Edward lodging with the couple. |
