UK Sedgwicks - Places - Yorkshire
Patrick Brompton and Burneston

I am pretty sure that there is just one group here. I am also convinced that Thomas and Matthew Sedgwick who emigrated to Australia are connected to this family and not to Sedbergh.

In 1841 there are 7 Sedgwicks living in the area and in 1851 none. 2 died - Matthew and his wife Mary. Five disappeared - Matthew and his wife Martha and Thomas, wife Mary and son William. The brothers are probably the sons of Matthew and Mary. There are Aireys in the area so their mother could still be Mary Airey.
