James Sedgwick [Unknown Sedgwick]
A family tale states that James came from Lancashire in search of work. James is described as a weaver of Harmby and of Bellerby in the Spennithorne registers and of Crakehall and Kirkbridge in the Bedale records. After James death the family stayed in Kirkbridge for a while before moving into the village of Crakehall. In 1867 Grace can be found arriving in the USA although she returned to England before 1881 her husband having died in America. |
