William was a moulder from 1861 to 1891. Chris Andrew has recently found an obituary in the Leeds Mercury dated 11 October 1892 reporting that a William Sedgwick (60), moulder, was found drowned in the Leeds and Liverpool canal at Shipley on the previous day.

Earl is in the Stockport Workhouse in 1911.
