Richard Sedgwick [Thomas Sedgwick / Margaret Hodgson] Richard was the Perpetual Curate of Dent from 1768 to 1800 as well as a master at Sedbergh School. He had gained his BA at Cambridge in 1760 and was ordained as a priest shortly after. His first appointment was at Amwell, Hertfordshire and he also served as headmaster at Hoddesdon School.. |
