John Sedgwick (born circa 1798)

John Sedgwick [Robert Sedgwick / Ann Smith]
bpt 6 July 1798 Kirkby Malham, Yorkshire
m Jane Parker 1818
m2 Charlotte Hall 1837
d 6 September 1849

More solid proof is needed to deffinitively prove the family group shown here. The first suggestion of a connection is the baptism of children in a Wesleyan chapel. The second is that Giles born in Leeds is living with his brother Robert in 1851 - Robert was born in Malham but appears to have been baptised in Suffolk. The baptism record gives Jane's maiden name. Robert was a joiner / builder in 1861.

In 1841 John and Charlotte are living with Nancy, Giles and Sarah Ann.

Could 'son' John be the individual who died in Rochdale in 1893? John junior's wife was the daughter of a wesleyan minister so it seems possible to me.
