Thomas Sedgwick of Chesterfield (1820-1871)

Thomas Sedgwick [John Sedgwick / Hannah Marriot]
bpt. 26 February 1820 Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
m Sarah Burton 1839 Chesterfield (BMD)
d 22 March 1871 Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Thomas and Sarah were Pork Butchers in Chesterfield. In about 1863 one of the family wrote the dates and times of birth of the whole family onto a receipt from the shop which was then put into the family bible. It is from this that we can link Thomas with some certainty to the Mansfield group as he gives his date of birth as two days before the baptism found in Mansfield.
