Thomas Sedgwick of London (1740-1802)

Thomas Sedgwick
b. circa 1740 Yorkshire
m. Unknown Carey
d 14 April 1802

Thomas is believed to originate from Yorkshire, perhaps the Dent area. He is said to have been a follower of Robert Sandeman and to have been ostricised by his family as a consequence. He is buried at Bunhill Fields, a non-conformist cemetery in the City of London. An Elizabeth Sedgwick has asumed to be his wife as she is also described as living at America Square, Minories at the time of her death. A Thomas Sedgwick married Elizabeth Kearry in 1765 at Holborn and another entry shows a Thomas Sedgwick marrying an Ann Cary in 1770 at Bermondsey - could either be this Thomas?

A Joseph Sedgwick of Islington was buried at Bunhill Fields in 1809 aged 66 - could they be connected?

The 1841 census shows that Thomas junior was not born in London .
