Ralph Sedgwick Ralph is found first in the 1861 census living at the Guildford Street Foundling hospital in St Pancras. In 1881 Ralph is working as a booksellers assistant and is living in Islington. Is it possible that he was the Ralph 'Leffwick' who is living in Chertsey, Surrey described as a 10 month old London born foundling in 1851? Son Albert can be found entering the United States in 1911, 1914 and 1922. His wife joins him in 1922 and the couple travel again in 1926. Both died in the UK so assumedly this was their permanent home. |
