William Sedgwick of Manchester (b circa 1770)

William Sedgwick [Unknown Sedgwick]
b. circa 1770
m. Sarah Unknown
d after 1809

Nothing is known of William Sedgwick of Manchester except that the birth records of his children were found while seeking information about his grandson William Whiteley Sedgwick who emmigrated to the USA around 1860.

Given the use of the surname Whiteley as a middle name it is likely that it is this Jane Sedgwick who married William Whiteley in 1829. There do appear though to be two Williams son of William and Sarah - this 1803 William put here as the other 1805 William's baptism is too near to Alexanders.

In 1841 Sarah, daughter Ann and granddaughter Jane are living next door to the Whiteleys - Sarah was Irish. In 1861 Jane Whiteley, her children and sister Ann are living together.
