Walter Sedgwick of Dover, Kent (born circa 1857)

Walter Sedgwick [John Else Sedgwick / Mary Butcher]
b circa 1857 Dover, Kent
m2 Sarah Caroline Ann Cook 1878 (BMD)
d after September 1937

In 1881 Walter's wife is called Maria but this is almost certainly a transcription error. Like many of his family, Walter was a shipwright.

In 1901 son Walter was in the Royal Navy where he remained until his death in 1918. Son John was also in the navy so he must have been at sea in 1901. In 1911 Walter, Sarah, Grace, William and Harry are living together - Stephen is in a different household.
