Samuel Sedgwick of Hackney (1828 - 1888)

Samuel Sedgwick [Samuel Sedgwick / Eliza Rose Coppard]
bpt 12 March 1828 Hertford
m Caroline Beale 1857 (BMD)
d 29 November 1888 Hackney, London

In 1871 Samuel was working as an assistant in a mantle factory and in 1881 was an assistant mantle manufacturer. The latter seems to be more accurate as his widow Caroline was 'living on her own means' in 1891. In 1901 three of the daughters are living with their cousins Elizabeth Sedgwick (bn 1818) and Elizabeth S Beale (bn 1841).
