William Sedgwicke (abt 1579 - 1632)

William and Edward Sedgwick were both from prominent families but were they the same family?

The first known connection is via Oliver Cromwell. Edward was related to him via his marriage to Susannah Pallavacino. Robert Sedgwick went to Jamaica under orders from Cromwell and William (Doomsday) Sedgwick preached to Parliament. However as prominent members of society it is no surprise that the families knew each other and Cromwell.

The second connection can be found with the archives of the Hill family of Hawkstone, Shropshire. It is intriguing that both families owned property in the area.

This isn't enought to prove a link but is interesting nonetheless - can anyone offer anything more concrete?
