William Sedgwick of Hartlepool (born circa 1826)

William Sedgwick [Joseph Sedgwick / Mary Paunder]
b. circa 1826 Sunderland, Durham
m Barbara Coulson (nee Alderson) 1846 (BMD)
m2 Fanny Redhead 1859 (BMD)
d. probably 1910

William was an apprentice carpenter in 1841. In 1891 William is living in the Throston workhouse whilst Fanny is in West Hartlepool describing herself as a widow. Alfred (born 1887) is described as Fanny's grandson in 1891 and 1901 but her son in 1911. He is attributed to daughter Mary Ellen who seems the most likely mother on the information available.

William's mother Mary remarried to George McDougle in 1833 and then to George Alderson in 1842.
