John Sedgwick [Mary Sedgwick]
Could John be the illegitimate son of Mary Sedgwick? Mary was buried in the parish and it looks a likely answer. Bridget is head of the household in 1841 and 1851 and is living with daughter Jane in 1861. Bridget died in 1865. A John Bell is shown as a grandson in 1851. The Middleton baptisms on GENUKI show William Sigsworth as the first son of William Sigsworth, miner, and Mary Bainbridge. Is this a transcription error as assumed below or another family. Also are Tamer and Elizabeth the same person? |
