David was working as a boxer in a food shop in 1891. By 1900 he and his family had emigrated to Livingston, Montana - the census return suggests that they emigrated in 1891.

In the 1910 census David and Sarah are in Beaver, Utah. In 1920 David and Sarah are in Berkeley, California with son John and 2 grand children. Son Benjamin is still in Utah in 1920 but in Los Angeles in 1930.

William and Robert both enlisted for World War 1 in 1917.
